Before you book
How far out do you go?
This question is trip specific — we go from 1 mile off of the beach to 60 miles.
Do I need a fishing license?
No, we provide a blanket license that covers anyone that is on our boats.
Do you provide the rods and reels?
Yes, we provide custom rods and reels. If you'd like to bring your own, that's fine too!
Do I have to purchase special baits?
No, we provide all bait needed to ensure you have a successful fishing trip.
What if the weather is not cooperative?
Ultimately, we make the decision on whether or not we will be going out. If we do not think it will be an enjoyable trip, we will advise you of that and give you the option of rescheduling.
On the day
What time should I be at the dock?
Please try to be at the dock 15 minutes before departure.
Is parking available?
Yes, there are paid parking lots within 200 feet of the boat. It is $25 per day.
What should I bring?
You should bring whatever you'd like to eat and drink and a cooler to hold these in. Sunscreen and a hat are also recommended.
Can I bring alcohol?
Yes, but please drink responsibly. No glass containers.
Can I go barefoot?
No — it can be slippery at times. Non-marking sole boat shoes are preferred.
Will I get seasick?
NO! Quit thinking about it! Try to avoid greasy foods the day before and the morning of the trip.
Aboard the boat
Do you have a restroom?
Yes — on the Cheerio Lady, a private space with a toilet is available.
Do you have places to lay down?
Yes, the Cheerio Lady has multiple bunks in the cabin as well as comfy bean bags.
Do you provide ice?
Yes, we do — for the purpose of making sure the fish are being kept.
Is tipping required?
Tipping is optional but greatly appreciated. A 20% tip based on the trip cost is a generous gesture.
After the trip
Do you clean the fish for us?
Yes we do. For an additional fee, your fish will be cleaned, washed and bagged.
Do I need a cooler for the fish?
Yes, we recommend bringing a cooler to transport your fish after the trip.
